First Look: 2014 Hot Wheels Pagani Huayra in green...
Hot Wheels went all supercar in Batch G:
Let's look. Sesto Elemento in signature gunmetal gray (awesome), Alfa Romeo 8C in signature satin red (dope), Pagani Huayra in eye-popping green (nice), and that Lotus that could look good or bad but I wouldn't notice because I can't get over that horrible pinched nose.
We've already seen the Lambo and Alfa, and we will skip the Lotus (that nose!!) and have a gander at the green Pagani.
One of the cool things about supercars? They're supercars. They make you look. They make you scramble for your phone and take photos of them in your rear view mirror. That means they can be any color they damn well please. So if a supercar wants to be bright green, it might was well. You are going to look anyway.
So this one is green. And I like it. I would like it more if the casting was a little meaner. I've said it before, but it sits a little too high, and low is what makes the Huayra a true Pagani. Other than that, the model looks good.
But compared to the Sesto Elemento (look how low it sits) and Alfa Romeo (pretty and mean), it sits third in this batch of supercars. Don't get me started on the Lotus...

Lamley News: 2014 Matchbox MBX Exotics 5-pack found in Australia...
Thanks friends for your patience last week. Due to a hectic travel and meeting schedule last week, we had a rare weekday with no posts. Not that it would cause riots in the street, but we try to keep the content fresh every day. This week is also a hectic travel week, but this time I don't have to battle the temperamental internet signal of the Denver Sheraton.
So let's start this week with a treat from Matchbox. After wondering last week if Matchbox was leaving Walmart, we still don't know for sure what is happening, although we are a little more optimistic. We will wait and see that play out.
And the hope is it stays, obviously. Especially since there will be some product we will want. And that starts with the new MBX Exotics 5-pack. Matchbox Collectors Forum members The General and Matchbox Luke shared the first photo of the pack, which The General found in Australia:
No crazy designs, bright but realistic colors, it looks to be a winner. And while I like the bottom four, I love the top model. It is great to see the Miura in gold, which is one of my favorite colors on the Lambo. I can't say the other four will join the Lamley collection, but the Miura certainly will.
In the past, when something is found first in Australia, it means we should see it next in Europe, and finally in the US. We will see if that holds true. One way or the other we are happy it is out.
Thoughts?
First Look: Hot Wheels World Race 5-pack...
It might be only a few times a year, and one is already reserved for Ferraris, but it is nice when Hot Wheels releases a 5-pack full of licensed cars. This year, there have been a smattering of licensed models in some of the 5-packs, but with these packed squarely aimed at the kids passing by in their parents' shopping cart, crazy models and colors prevail. Occasionally we collectors are thrown a little shout-out, with the yearly Ferrari pack, one pack usually reserved for a particular automaker (Corvette & Shelby most recently), and maybe one more.
The World Race 5-pack is that "one more" this year. The pack is a decent representation of a world race, with two of the Queen's cars, two Italian Stallions, and one from the Land of the Rising Sun. Of course a Ford Falcon and...say...an SP2 might make it more of a world race, but supercars seem to be the name of the game in this pack.
So here is our look at all 5 models. The highlight for me? The Aston, looking nice in 10-spokes. Your favorite?
