The Falcon is not a Mustang, just like the Chevy Opala is not a Nova, or the Holden Ute is not an El Camino.
But it is a Super Treasure Hunt. And it likes being a Super Treasure Hunt. And it is famously one of two models in 2013 that have been Super TH's two years in a row. Why did Hot Wheels do this? I have no idea. Maybe because the folks at Mattel wanted to have a little fun with collectors, and watch them complain about the most meaningless stuff.
So after a purple Super last year, we get this gold version in 2013. It looks good. It hasn't gotten the attention of other Supers this year, but it is purty. Or maybe it is because gold cars always look good in the Lamley studio. I will just say I like it a lot more now that I have it in hand.
This is one of the Supers that eluded me this year, so it was acquired at the Matchbox Gathering in July. Exciting, eh?
