Model of the Day: Kyosho Lamborghini Veneno...
Let's be honest, this is one ugly-ass car.
It looks like an airplane mated with a jellyfish and then half-ate a Lamborghini. But I don't think looks are the key here. The car doesn't really need to look good. You just need to remember it. And I think that is accomplished.
Lamborghini created three Venenos off the Aventador platform to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. This mini version is a replica of Car Zero, which Lambo retained. The other two went to two very wealthy buyers. I am not one of those buyers, nor would I have been in the market if I have the money. The car is too hard to look at.
But I am sure glad I have the 1:64 version. Kyosho nailed it, and to me, as significant as the Veneno is, adding one to the collection was a no-brainer. It is just too good a model to NOT have it. And a lot of people agree. It sold out at Daboxtoys in minutes.
Kyosho did several versions, including a few unique colors. You can see them here. We like this standard (if that is an appropriate word) version the best, so enjoy the pics...

We might have one more color...
