This will be the shortest "As is..." we have ever done, and for good reason:
It has been a whirlwind and exhausting weekend. My wife and I got into LA Thursday evening, and haven't stopped since. We have had a lot of fun, including dinner at The Perch in downtown LA Friday night.
But as I write this, it is Saturday night, and we leave tomorrow early in the morning to head home to Utah, where we will plan on being home on time to bid farewell to Breaking Bad. So the 10-hour drive tomorrow will be a little tiring, especially after a few hours at JCCS this morning and walking 11 flights of stairs over and over again at the Hot Wheels Convention this afternoon.
I have plenty of things to say about both JCCS and the convention, and will cover that later. For now, we are going to forgo the normal compiling of our favorite customs that were submitted and just show those from two fantastic customizers. If you have submitted work, never fear, as we will do a full post next week. Just keep 'em coming by way of email (lamleygroup@gmail.com), Instagram (use the hashtag #lamleycustoms), or Facebook.
In keeping with JCCS week, there is an obvious theme: the latest JDM casting from Hot Wheels, the Datsun 620. If you cannot remember what it looks like, this 1:1 replica at JCCS today can remind you:
The 620 is bound to be the subject of an array of custom ideas, and we plan on showing quite a few, but it will take a lot to top these two:
