Making sense of the 2013 Ferrari 458 Spider variations...
Occasionally here at Lamley we like to break down variations. This Ferrari base/interior vari is not nearly as confusing as the 2012 Laguna Seca/2010 Mustang mayhem, or the body/base Corvette variations that we have yet to figure out.
But since we love Ferraris here at Lamley, let's break this one down. (Plus, the 458 Spider in black is a beaut, and the more photos the better. In fact, the photo right above may be one of my all-time faves.)
The black Ferrari 458 Spider is a 2013 model, complete with a black body and tan interior:
But it comes right on the heels of the 2012 yellow version, so it was not a surprise to see a handful of black versions sporting the yellow's black interior instead of the intended tan interior:
Don't expect me to keep such a cool model sealed up:
But alas, that is not all. Look at the base of the tan interior version. Now look at the black interior version. See it? Yes, the black interior Ferrari sits on a black base, compared to the gray base of the tan interior 458:
So what has been found?
1. Black body, tan interior, gray base.
2. Black body, black interior, black base.
3. Black body, tan interior, black base.
That makes three. Still no reports of a black interior with gray base, and knowing the sequence of things it probably does not exist.
Nonetheless, the model looks great in black, and best in black on black. Definitely worth having...
